I’m Melanie, the creative force behind EmpowHer Design Studio by Mellie Muse. Mellie Muse is more than just a name—it’s my creative alter ego, a manifestation of my passion for empowering women through design and storytelling.

I started EmpowHer Design Studio during one of the most challenging times in my life—caring for my mother while she battled cancer. It was a period of immense growth, as I leaned into my creativity to navigate the emotional turbulence of that experience. My first blog post, in fact, was a tribute to my mother’s strength, capturing her grace and resilience through her fight. In those moments, I realized that I wanted to dedicate my life’s work to helping other women find their inner strength, too.

As a wife and mother myself, I’ve faced my own struggles with depression and anxiety, especially after surviving two strokes in 2012. For years, I felt misunderstood and out of sync with the world around me. I felt like I was failing. But after my mother’s death in 2024, I finally saw my unique perspective as a gift, not a disability. My neurodivergence allows me to think visually, giving me the ability to create art that tells stories and connects deeply with others.

I decided to pull myself out of the darkness, to be a light for my family and for other women who, like me, have felt lost, unworthy, or like they didn’t fit in. I want to help women find clarity and purpose, both in their personal lives and in their professional journeys. Through EmpowHer Design Studio, I offer digital products that simplify the path forward—whether that’s building a standout brand or finding personal fulfillment through creativity.

I create step-by-step resources, from eBooks and workbooks to affirmation cards and AI-enhanced images, all designed to inspire and empower women to take control of their lives, set goals, and achieve them. My products blend creativity with practicality, making it easier for busy women to find the focus and confidence they need to succeed.

EmpowHer Design Studio is more than just a business—it’s a movement. It’s about fostering a community of women who uplift and inspire each other. I want every woman who visits my shop or reads my blog to walk away feeling empowered, like they’ve found a supportive space where their creativity and goals are valued.
